I’ve been blogging for over five years. It’s hard for me to believe that, as time has flown so fast. And things have changed so much. If I go back to many of the blogs I used to read daily when I started, the vast majority are very sadly no longer active. Many have shut down. The good news, of course, is that other great blogs – and dare I say friends? – have popped up since.
Good news? There’s a lot out there. Bad news? How many of my readers actually know what Honest & Truly! means? Why is this blog Honest & Truly! instead of any other moniker? And what do I post about (which hopefully you’ve visited before or are exploring and have sort of figured it out)?
The story behind Honest & Truly! is easy. When I was a kid and my mom asked me a question, I would tell my version of the incident, essentially truthfully but with my perspective. Then I’d look at her with big, soulful eyes and announce, “Honest and truly, Mommy, that’s exactly what happened.” Needless to say, that is exactly what I’m doing here. This is my story with my perspective to it, thus my tagline of My Life. My Story. My version.”
As for the rest? This week’s #VlogMom question answers it with my “30 second” elevator pitch.
