Shopping By A Non-Shopper

April 18, 2013 by Michelle

I love how there are so many things about people that make them unique.  How they shop is one of them.  As I’ve been doing FnB with my friends, we’ve worked on various parts of our houses from closets to kitchens to basements, and it makes me giggle to see how different we all are in our closets… much of which is because we’re so different in how we shop for clothing and because we have such different personalities.

That isn’t to say that one way is worse than another, but there are so many differences.  And it’s sort of fun to be a voyeur in each others’ houses to help out, as well as teasing them for various things.  Closets have been great fodder for this, and I’m not sure I’ll ever let my friends into my closet for that reason alone.  I’ll talk about it and show pieces of it, but no one’s going straight into it.

Luckily, this week, I asked the #VlogMom question.  I want to know about how you shop, specifically for clothing.

VlogMom What Kind of Clothing Shopper Are You

Me, I tend to buy things after trying them on, unless I’m in a hurry or cranky.  I always try things on at home at least once or twice again before removing tags and tossing the receipt because I’d say that at least 50 percent of what I buy ends up going back because I decide I don’t like it.  Fortunately, stores I shop at tend to have reasonable return policies so I don’t get too stuck.

What is your shopping like?

I, too, go shopping for a specific item and the older I get, the less I shop. I go to the clearance racks first, too.
